The Boston Street Battle this year is on November 14th. As a cold street contest this event marks the end of 2009 and comfortable street skating weather and the Beginning of indoor winter skatepark sessions in New England.

This year it’s less of a marathon style contest and more of a spot battle, this way if you don’t like a certain spot then you don’t have to skate it. Who ever destroys a spot the most will win stuff at that spot. You can win as many spots as you like and whoever wins the most spots is the champion. Prizes for the top 3 at each spot as well as best trick(s) a “grom” 17 and under award a old man 30+ award and other give a-ways where deserved.

The meeting spot and warm up session is 10:00AM at:
Hyde Park Skate Park.
1 Reservation Road
Hyde Park, Massachusetts 02136

we need to start earlier this year cause it gets dark early in the fall.
$13 if you pre-register online before November 6th. $20 if you register the day of.
Visit www.myspace.com/bostonstreetbattle for more info and online registration.

Roll Series Ends | WRS Begins

There is good news and bad news. The bad news is that there were too few street contests over the summer of 2009 to allow for a “circuit” of events. The good news is that the World Rolling Series will be including both park and street contests for the summer of 2010.

Street Battle Seattle…Aug. 8TH 2009

Now in it’s 9th year due to the success from our sponsors, the skaters, and all other supporters locally, nationally, and internationally. Over the years I have seen the contest take shape and become what it is today. The SBS contest is not only just a rollerblading street contest. It’s rollerblading history. First of its kind in the Seattle area and remaining to be one of the largest street contest on the west coast. Not to mention when it first started 9 years ago street skating contests were just evolving! Now in its 9th year the contest has matured to be what it is today. It takes time. Time to fail, time to learn, and time to succeed. Over the years I have learned allot! One of the many problems is my lack of professionalism and procrastination. Those 2 things over the years I’ve noticed make the largest impact on the success. This year is going be different. SBS2009 isn’t until August and already I have almost everything I need to make an outstanding contest even better! Things are going to be different from the start. As you can probably already tell. The actually event is going to continue in its original format the only changes this year are going to be how we promote, sponsor, and deliver!
